Storytime magazine reading with kids

Reliving childhood memories through storytelling

Do you recall the first story you ever heard as a child? What were some of your beloved books during your young years? The journey of discovering a love for reading starts early in life. As highlighted in the book Encouraging your Child to Read by Harvard Graduate School of Education, “Cultivating a lifelong passion for reading lays the groundwork for success in education and overall joy in life.”

Discovering Storytime magazine

Recently, my children and I were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the latest Storytime Magazines. This magazine stands out from others I’ve seen: it contains no advertisements, features stunning artwork, and is filled with captivating stories! What makes this publication remarkable is that the short tales are perfectly crafted to engage children, whether they are proficient readers or just beginning their journey. Notable titles include The Butterfly and the Rose, The Old Woman and Her Pig, I Want to be a Pencil Sharpener, and The Rainbow Fairies. Additionally, each story concludes with a selection of games and activities for kids.

A resource for bilingual families

Subscribing to Storytime provides my bilingual children with the opportunity to read concise narratives in English more frequently. Since some books can take a long time to read, I now have a rich collection of stories to share with them during bedtime!
